Before choosing a lash serum, decide whether you want cosmetic lash care or treatment for a change in lash growth. Those are different questions. A peptide name on a cosmetic label does not tell you how much longer your lashes will become or when you would see a change.
Ask four questions before comparing promises
- Is a complete, current ingredient list available?
- Where does the label say to apply the product?
- How often should it be used, and what warnings are provided?
- Does a claimed result come from testing this finished product, or from a discussion of an ingredient?
Do not borrow the directions or expected results of a prescription eyelash medicine for an unrelated cosmetic serum. If lash loss is sudden or accompanied by eye symptoms, ask a qualified clinician about the cause before buying another product.
The HKY application details
HKY Lash Serum is listed in a 5ml tube. Its directions say to remove makeup, ensure the eye area is clean and dry, and apply a thin line along the upper lash line. Allow 1–2 minutes to dry before applying other products. Listed use is once daily, preferably at night; follow the current packaging.
Keep the eye-area step controlled
Use your own applicator and keep it clean. FDA guidance says to avoid eye cosmetics on infected or inflamed areas and stop using a product if it causes irritation. More frequent application is not a shortcut to a result.
For your comparison notes, record the exact product, start date and how consistently you used it. If you take photographs, keep lighting and mascara use consistent. This helps you avoid mistaking a different photo setup for a change in your lashes.
