Do not plan on a cosmetic mask reshaping your jawline by morning. A film that feels tight while drying is not evidence that it is setting your facial structure, and leaving it on longer does not turn it into an overnight sculpting treatment.
Check whether the product is meant to stay on
Products used at night can have very different directions. A leave-on moisturizer and a peel-off mask are not interchangeable. Read the removal instructions before starting, especially if the product name or an older article emphasizes a nighttime routine.
HKY 6D is removed after setting
The current 6D Mask instructions describe a 10–15 minute setting period, gentle peeling from the edges, rinsing residue and moisturizer afterward. They explicitly say not to leave the film on overnight.
Set a timer and stay awake to complete the steps. If you are too tired to manage application and removal, choose your familiar short evening routine instead. Do not add upward pulling or an extra-thick layer to try to change the result.
Be careful with next-morning comparisons
If you take photographs, keep camera height, lighting, expression and makeup consistent. A different pose can make a jawline appear different without showing a product effect. Avoid assigning a before-and-after photo a lifting percentage.
If facial change is your real concern
The AAD advises that cosmetic creams cannot deliver facelift results. For questions about lasting changes in facial appearance, consult a qualified professional about suitable options and realistic outcomes. Sudden or unexplained swelling belongs in a medical conversation rather than a mask experiment.
Keep the evening's goal modest and useful: follow the product directions, finish the routine comfortably and remove anything that is not intended to remain on the skin.
