If you have only 15 minutes before makeup, a full HKY Golden Mask session does not fit. The current directions allow 20–30 minutes for setting alone, before peeling, rinsing and applying your follow-up products.
Build the schedule from the label
- Cleanse and dry the skin.
- Apply an even layer, keeping away from eyebrows and the hairline.
- Allow the full listed setting period.
- Remove gently, rinse residue and finish your usual skincare.
- Then begin makeup when you are ready.
Do not shorten the directions by spreading an unusually thin layer simply to meet a deadline. Set aside enough time for the entire routine or leave the optional mask for another occasion.
Practice the makeup combination
Before an important event, test the same products you plan to use together. Note whether they settle comfortably and whether makeup rolls, separates or feels heavy. Repeat only the combination you liked; a mask cannot guarantee a fixed number of extra hours of makeup wear.
When time is short
If you are already rushing, use the familiar preparation that has worked for you before. Keep your usual daytime sun protection in place. A shorter, known routine is easier to manage than trying to squeeze an unfinished peel-off session into the available minutes.
When not to add the extra step
Skip the trial on already irritated skin or on the day you first need the result. AAD facial-mask guidance emphasizes appropriate use alongside a regular routine, not replacing it. If the mask causes burning, itching or stinging, remove it rather than waiting for the timer.
Your preparation plan should reduce decisions on the day. Save a note of the timing and product order that worked during your trial, including enough time for removal and cleanup.
