If avoiding animal-derived ingredients matters to you, compare the complete formula and its sourcing information before comparing the promises on the front of a pack. A collagen-related product name does not answer every question about a finished mask.
Separate three questions
- Ingredient identity: what exact ingredient name appears on the label?
- Origin: what does the manufacturer say about how that ingredient was produced?
- Whole formula: do the other ingredients meet your purchasing requirements too?
Keep these questions separate from animal-testing policies. A formula's ingredient origin and a brand's testing policy are different pieces of information, so ask about each if both matter to you.
Compare what you will actually use
For a facial mask, note whether it is a sheet, rinse-off or peel-off product. Then compare quantity, setting time and removal. Those details determine how it fits your routine even when the ingredient names look similar.
HKY 6D is a peel-off mask supplied as ten 5g stick packs. Its listed setting time is 10–15 minutes, followed by gentle peeling and rinsing of residue. The Golden mask comes in an 80g tube and sets for 20–30 minutes.
If a sourcing answer is missing
Send the exact product name and your question to HKY support before ordering. Ask for the current ingredient list and product-specific sourcing information rather than relying on an older blog description. Until those details are confirmed, do not choose either mask on the assumption that its entire formula is vegan.
