If the HKY 6D mask is already part of your routine, use it before makeup and allow time to remove the film completely. The 10–15 minutes in its directions refer to setting time, not the length of an entire makeup-prep routine or a guaranteed change in your skin.
Plan the whole sequence
Set aside time for cleansing, drying, applying, setting and removal before you begin your usual makeup steps. Choosing a mask only because you have ten minutes until you leave makes the schedule tighter than the label suggests.
- Cleanse and pat dry.
- Apply an even layer from one 5g stick pack, avoiding the eye area and hairline.
- Let the film set for the listed 10–15 minutes.
- Peel gently from the edges and rinse any residue with warm water.
- Continue with your usual moisturizer and makeup routine.
Check the base before adding makeup
Look for leftover film around the edges of the application area. Remove residue as directed instead of covering it with foundation. This is a practical cleanup check, not an instruction to rub or exfoliate the skin again.
Make an event-day decision in advance
Try the routine on a day without a deadline so you know how long application and removal take for you. If the product is new to you, an important event is not the best moment to make a full routine experiment. The AAD recommends testing a new mask on small areas first and following its label.
Do not assume that a mask makes foundation last longer, prevents pilling or creates a lifted finish. Those are separate performance questions; this guide does not establish them for HKY.
Choose the format that fits your schedule
6D contains ten separately packed 5g portions. Golden comes in an 80g tube and has a different, 20–30 minute setting instruction. Review 6D details or compare Golden.
